Bray hoping to bring new blood to city leadership
Special to the Herald
A local woman who has represented her hometown and county on a variety of different stages is asking her friends and neighbors in the City of Leakesville to support her bid to represent them on the city’s governing board.
McKay Bray, who is running for a position on the Leakesville Board of Alderman, grew up just outside the city limits of Leakesville and has been active in community functions throughout her life. She chose to make her home in Leakesville and wants to see her hometown grow and prosper.
“Leakesville has always been home,” Bray said in announcing her candidacy. “I was born and raised here, and I’ve never stopped believing in the heart of this town.”
“From growing up in our community to serving as Greene County and Mississippi’s Miss Hospitality, my passion has always been to represent and serve the people around me.”
In the weeks ahead, Bray will be working to visit with local voters to share more about her plans, her story, and how she believes local residents can work together to make real progress for Leakesville. She will share more details about her candidacy soon in the Herald and more about her and her platform can be found online at www.facebook.com/votemckaybrayforalderman.
“I’m running for Alderman because I know we can do more—together. We deserve leadership that listens, takes action, and truly puts our community first. My campaign is grounded in one promise: “Committed to Our Community.”
