A McLain duo is being sought by local authorities in connection with a strong-armed robbery and other violent crimes earlier this week.
Arrests warrants were issued Monday for Frederick ‘Bo’ Fairley, 55, and Pamela Hunter, 45. The two are being sought on charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault after allegedly forcing their way into a house, assaulting the person who lived there and stealing multiple items Sunday evening in McLain. They have also been accused of assaulting other local residents and are the lead suspects in a drive-by shooting at the home of one of the alleged assault victims.
The saga began just before midnight on Sunday when Fairley and Hunter allegedly forced their way into the residence of Kristy Harvison on Thompson Hill Road. Harvison told authorities Hunter assaulted her with a baseball bat, then Fairley held the bat threatening her while Hunter rummaged through her house. Harvison reported that the two stole her television, a window air conditioning unit, an electrical generator, her cell phone, her wallet with approximately $50 in cash and clothing.
From there, the duo reportedly went to a nearby residence on Parker Hill Road where Fairley reported assaulted an unnamed victim with the bat and got into an altercation with Magnolia Street resident James Albert Love, who was at the residence reportedly working on a vehicle. Love told authorities that Fairley also began physically attacking him and threatening him with the bat, prompting him to pull a pistol he was carrying and firing a round into the air as a warning shot. Fairley and Hunter reportedly left the scene at that time and Loved then called 911 to report the incident.
At around 4 a.m. the same morning, authorities were called to Love’s residence on Magnolia Avenue after his home was reportedly targeted in a drive-by shooting. Deputies recovered several spent casings from different caliber weapons they think were from the shooting. Love, his wife and children were in the home at the time of the alleged shooting and were reportedly awakened by the sound of gunfire and bullets hitting the structure.
It is unclear what led to the altercation at the residence on Parker Hill Road between Fairley, Hunter and the unnamed victim. However, Harvison told authorities that Fairley and Hunter accused her of having items in her home that belonged to them when they allegedly assaulted and robbed her.
Greene County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Shea Wilkerson said that while police have not been able to get Fairley or Hunter’s accounts of the incidents in question, the seriousness of the allegations against them pushed him to request Justice Court Judge Shannon Busby to sign arrest warrants.
“We are very fortunate that this didn’t turn deadly,” Deputy Wilkerson said. “We are still investigating the situation and gathering evidence, but regardless of the motive, the suspects are accused of some very dangerous and serious crimes.”
“On top of the alleged assaults and robbery, shots were fired into a home where children were sleeping. Anyone with any information about these incidents or the whereabouts of Fairley and Hunter should come forward and help us get to the bottom of this.”
