One person has been arrested and two other suspects are being sought for questioning in connection to a home burglary in Neely earlier this year.
Tiffany Autumn Hillman, 30, of 19 Will Cowart Road, McLain, is being held in the Greene County Jail on a $10,000 bond. She is being charged with burglary of a dwelling related to the theft of jewelry, clothing and other items stolen from a home in the Neely community between May 24 and June 4. According to law enforcement officials, the owner of the home reported the break-in after returning from a work trip in another state. Credit cards, jewelry and clothing were among the items discovered missing.
The break-in the case came when several credit cards belonging to the victim were found in the possession of an individual questioned in another matter in McLain. Police have not identified that person or said whether the individual is believed to have been involved in the burglary. However, information obtained during that incident led officers to pawn shops on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and the recovery of several pieces of jewelry reported stolen from the Neely property.
Anyone with information that could help in the investigation is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (601)394-2341. Reports can also be made anonymously by contacting CrimeStoppers at (877)787-5859, or texting the info along with “CSTIP” to 274637.
