Special to the Herald
The Ladies Variety Club recently hosted a DYW Send-Off Reception for Miss Madison Hultz, Greene County’s Distinguished Young Woman of 2020.
Guests enjoyed a buffet of delicious food along with the fellowship with Madison and her family at Leakesville United Methodist Church on July 2. Madison modeled her attire for the interview, talent, and self expression portions of the state competition, and she and her mom shared the history behind and reason for choosing each outfit.
Madison, as well as 33 other participants from across the state assembled in Meridian this past Sunday to begin preparations for the 2020 State DYW program, which is set for Thursday-Saturday, July 18-20. The three-night scholarship program will be held at the Evangel Temple in Meridian.
To purchase tickets, contact Debbie McLeod at (769)475-0512 or Kimbo Floyd at (601)480-3438.
Madison is the daughter of Rusty and Tammy Hultz of the Winborn Chapel Community.
