Three GCHS baseball players were honored earlier this summer for their efforts on the filed for the Wildcats this past season.
Kenneth Moore, a 2019 graduate, along with seniors-to-be Peyton Roberts and Drake Henderson were selected by Region 7-4A coaches to the All-Region Team. Henderson earned the additional honor of being named to the Class 4A All-State Second Team.
Moore, who will continue his career and education at Holmes Community College beginning this fall, led the Wildcats at the plate during his senior season with 35 hits and 25 RBIs. He was second on the squad with a .368 batting average and 24 runs scored, and was tied for the team lead in home runs (with two) and tied for first for doubles (with seven). Henderson had an excellent season on the mound for GCHS and is garnering a lot of attention from collegiate scouts.
